John was married several times. His last marriage was to a 16 year old girl names Barbara Ellen Reffett from Indiana. He met her at a train station in Center Point Indiana on his way to a Doctors convention. John was in his 50's when he married Barbara. With John came a son when he married Barbara and his name was Ozias Walker. I can not find Ozias's mother because I can not find John's previous marriages. Ozias married a German woman by the name Augusta/Augustine Bornemann. Her parents were August Bornemann and Mary Ginter/Gunter. They both were from Germany. I have found a grand daughter of John Walker who is still living. She remembers stories that her father told her about John's mother's people. Her father William ( who was a son of John and Barbara) was just a very young boy when John died. All the children except the baby which Barbara took with her back to Indiana to her parents, stayed behind with John's Cherokee people.
